With a Bachelors degree in Commerce from Delhi University and an MBA in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Chetan spent the first few years of his career in the private sector. However, his real interest is in education and social development, and this led him to his position as the Director of Programs with Pratham. For over three years at Pratham, Chetan worked extensively in the field of primary education, heading programs in Delhi and then in North India. After Pratham, he joined the American India Foundation (AIF) where he worked as the Regional Head of the Digital Equalizer Program, helping merge the world of technology witheducation. In 2007, Chetan joined RAN Research where he ran the operations and training across India. His motivation and commitment to help improve the lives and futures of individuals and institutions across all sectors through education led him to found Edulever in August 2009.

V K Madhavan is the Chief Executive of WaterAid India. Following a Master’s in International Politics from Jawaharlal Nehru University in 1991, Madhavan commenced working with the Urmul Rural Health Research and Development Trust in Bikaner district of north-western India where he worked in various capacities till 1998. Madhavan then worked with ActionAid and The Hunger Project in New Delhi and subsequently spent eight years working in the Kumaun region of Uttarakhand as the Executive Director of the Central Himalayan Rural Action Group (Chirag). In his years as a development professional, Madhavan has worked on an integrated approach to rural development – community health, primary education, natural resource management, on and off-farm livelihoods and investing in young people. Prior to assuming his current role at WaterAid India, Madhavan was the Managing Director of Skills Education Private Limited, a private company that provides youth with access to information, skills and opportunities leading to employment.

Minu is a Chemical Engineer and International Business Management grad with 10 years of experience in International trading, followed by 12 years in the development sector. She joined Dr. Reddy’s Foundation as Strategic Team Leader in 2004 to scale-up their flagship skill development initiative called LABS which then was a small experiment limited to Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts. Minu was able to scale-up the initiative Pan-India as a major poverty alleviation instrument taking it to both Urban and Rural poverty alleviation ministries. In the next five years the LABS model was scaled up to reach 160,000 youth through these ministries and another 100,000 youth through other ministries and CSRs. She also was instrumental in taking the model to Indonesia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka.
Next, Minu joined Don Bosco Tech as their Program Director, put together a team and built their skilling program. Over the next four years, she was instrumental in successfully implementing a Build-Operate-Transfer model, bringing 200 training centers across the country under the umbrella of Don Bosco Tech and partnering with several ministries and CSRs.In 2008, Minu initiated LIFE (Livelihood Initiatives for Empowerment) as the founder Chairperson. Since 2012 she has been actively working on catalysing various livelihood and entrepreneurship models in LIFE, which are now ready for replication and scale-up. While the flagship last mile distribution and rural entrepreneurship models at LIFE are being scaled up, the organization is implementing various government skills program and innovative livelihood models with CSRs.

Mitesh leads Fieldata.Org, a data-collection portal with a focus on improving transparency and decision making in social enterprises, inclusive businesses, developmental organizations, and government agencies. Mitesh brings 18 years of development sector experience. He has worked globally – as Director-Social Research at Altai Consulting in Afghanistan; Research Analyst at the World Bank; Education Specialist at Pratham-India; and as a Curriculum Consultant to Ministry of Education, Vietnam. Over the last 5 years, he has worked on technology and development endeavors. He holds a B.A in Astronomy from University of Texas-Austin; an Ed.M. in Education Policy from Harvard University; and an MBA from INSEAD.
A Post-Graduate in Mass Communication, Amrita is on the Board of Edulever as a Director. She began her career in Event Management, went on to work with companies such as HCL and IBM in the areas of Corporate Communication & BPO Training, before finding her niche in School Administration. She has worked for over three years in Shikshantar School, and is currently working with The HDFC School, Gurgaon.
With a PG diploma in Development Communication, Palak has joined Edulever in October 2014 after working for four years with organizations such as Kaivalya Education Foundation and Pratham. Palak has a passion for working on education to bring about societal change, and is also an avid writer and short film maker.
Palak led the field operations for a large-scale assessment project of Edulever conducted in rural Uttar Pradesh and Odisha. She has also conducted field surveys in Hyderabad and rural Madhya Pradesh. She has been managing Edulever’s Early Childhood & Primary Education Program, Sahpathi for children in a Gurgaon slum.
After completing his post-graduation in Economics from Calcutta University, Srotriya wanted to explore the unknown. That led him to spending four years in understanding the grassroots realities at Kaivalya Education Foundation where he worked as a Quality Initiative Manager in the domain of Educational Leadership. His further inclination to work with the youth in their skill development has brought him to Edulever where he joined in July’ 15. At Edulever, Srotriya has worked on content development projects for Tech Mahindra Foundaiton’s Skill Development program and another one for Nasscom Foundation. He has also been closely associated with Sahpathi, an early childhood and primary education program which is an in-house initiative of the Edulever team.
Sidharth is a person with mixed skills. He comes from an army background. He has travelled very intensively across India. He completed his undergraduate studies in Physics from Bangalore University. He is a licensed commercial pilot from New Zealand. He has fair construction experience in New Zealand and in India but most of all, he has the inclination to reach out to people and make a difference in their lives. In pursuit of the same, he joined Edulever in June’ 2016 to help educate children from poor socioeconomic background and to contribute with skill development of Indian youth.
After completing his Masters in Business Administration, Ashutosh joined Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services as a Management Trainee. There he spent 2 years working in the marketing domain, but his passion for design and photography led him to join Master of Design at National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi. His further inclination towards communication design brought him to American India Foundation where he interned and assisted in different livelihood projects. He is currently working as a communication designer and freelance photographer.
A Bachelor of Arts from Delhi University, Braham Prakash has previously worked in World College of Technology and Management as Administrative Incharge. A multitasker, Braham Prakash manages the administration and accounts at Edulever, and chips in with project support as well.
